Happy Valentine’s Day! Happy Presidents’ Day!
While winter leagues are now well past the half way mark, there are openings available in many leagues. Have fun finishing up a winter league and get prepared for summer bowling and tournaments at the same time. Check with the desk at NU Generation for the league that best fits you. Make the dark, dreary, wet winter days a little brighter by bowling in a league. There are both daytime and nighttime leagues to fill all bowlers’ needs. Most winter leagues end during late April or May. So, there is still plenty of time to get in on the winter fun.
In BVL news, the playoffs, January 31, were a huge success. The winners in each division are eligible to represent Yuba-Sutter USBC Association in Yorba Linda, California, in the spring, for the state championships in their divisions. The state winners will then bowl in the National BVL Tournament.
Tournament times are getting close. The Women’s City Tournament begins February 20 and ends February 28, followed by the Open City Tournament and the Queen’s Tournament. Bowlers can enter these tournaments up to 30 minutes before the beginning of the tournaments. Watch for details regarding these upcoming events.
The Women’s State Tournament is coming soon. Entries close March 1, 2010. The participants will be bowling at both NU Generation in Yuba City and at Tyme to Bowl in Oroville. Let’s be sure and support this state tournament being held in our area!
