Yuba Sutter Connection Welcomes League Bowlers!
Greetings Yuba Sutter Bowlers!
Spring time is finally here, and winter leagues are winding down. April 15 th is the date on which league bowlers’ book averages are based for next season and many tournaments. Most winter leagues finish late April or by mid-May.
Summer leagues, which generally run for about 12 to 15 weeks, are now signing up bowlers. Most leagues start in late May and run until sometime in August.
Summer league bowling is more casual than winter bowling and is the best time to brush up on techniques, correct winter bowling errors, and to break in new equipment. It’s also a great time to get your non-bowling friends and family into a fun league for two or three hours a week for the summer. It gives them a chance to decide if they like it and wish to continue when the longer winter leagues come back.
This year, YSUSBC Association is also proud to welcome the California USBC Women’s Championships, which begin in second half of May and will continue until August. The Doubles and Singles will be bowled at NU Generation Bowl. The Team Events will be bowled at Tyme to Bowl Lanes in Oroville.
The Association will be working hard to make these women bowlers from all over the state feel at home and enjoy themselves at NU Generation.
All our bowlers are welcome to come and watch these ladies on the lanes. Also, there will be many of our local bowlers in this competition. So, be sure to check them out throughout the tournament.
Have fun this spring and summer and get on the lanes. May all of you throw many strikes in the coming months.
